"Better" rather than "less bad" is everywhere.

Compare from the NPR link "Nolan says he saves 10 minutes out of every hour by vaping at his desk instead of trekking outside to smoke".

Wow - he's saving time, that's a good thing!

Or perhaps he simply used to waste 17% of his work time due to his addiction, and isn't honest enough to word it that way?

Like the way you're progressing. Thanks for getting things working without Javascript, that was very important for me.

It seems you are the misguided one. This isn't a business. "Businesses" and "members" (of a community) do not mix - remember Dice and slashdot?

That's not the full story. It's fun to speculate. Almost all speculation will be wrong at least in part.
All I'm saying is that it was one of my bits of advice that lead most directly to the solution. (But my other bits were useless, so it's swings and roundabouts.)

Not necessarily true - in 2 of the 3 browsers I use regularly javascript isn't even a feature that could ever be enabled, and the 3rd one has NoScript enabled to the max except for things I depend on.

All the different devices that might be embedded in the various components will have different buses, frequencies, voltage requirements, current-draw, etc. You can't even force compatbility as there's no freaking way you'd want to add an expensive bridge to a 1c ambient light sensor, for example.

However, if you want pluggable-to-a-limited-extent hardware, there's already Jolla.
